If that isn’t a subliminal message I don’t know what its! here’s the wikipedia definition of subliminal messaging.
Used in advertising to create familiarity with new products, subliminal messages make familiarity into a preference for the new products. Johan Karremans suggests that subliminal messages have an effect when the messages are goal-relevant. Karremans did a study assessing whether subliminal priming of a brand name of a drink would affect a person’s choice of drink, and whether this effect is caused by the individual’s feelings of being thirsty.
Sex, is the most common and most effective type of subliminal messaging, it isn’t illegal to use subliminal advertising in the USA but it is in other places like the UK.
It makes you wonder weather this actually helped towards making users sign up to Facebook and made Facebook what is is today (one of the, if not the largest, social network online.)
